Ringing Pal

SMS consent & opt-in disclosure

Operated by ARForge Labs LLC ("Ringing Pal").

This is not a text-message opt-in. There is no keyword, short code, or "text JOIN to ___" instruction anywhere in our product, marketing, or signage. No one opts in by sending us the first message. Consent is captured through the two paths below, each of which happens before any message is sent.

1. Customers -- verbal consent during a phone call

When a customer calls a Ringing Pal-answered business line, our AI voice assistant answers and helps them book an appointment. Before ending the call, once the appointment is confirmed, the assistant tells the caller something to this effect:

"I'll text you a confirmation at this number -- message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime to stop texts."

The caller consents by remaining on the call and confirming the appointment after hearing this disclosure. This is oral consent, captured during a call the customer placed -- not a text-initiated opt-in.

2. Business owners -- consent at account signup

Our signup form collects the owner's cell number in a required field near the top. Further down the SAME form, every prospective business owner must actively check an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox before the "Create account" button will submit, and that checkbox explicitly names the number it applies to:

"Yes, I would like to receive text messages at the cell number entered above from Ringing Pal about my account and my customers' appointments -- confirmations, reminders, and booking alerts. Message frequency varies based on my account and appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

This checkbox is enforced on our server, not just in the page's markup -- an account cannot be created without it. Directly below the checkbox, the page also links to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which spell out message types, frequency, and rates in full.

Message frequency, rates, and opt-out

Message frequency varies based on appointment and call activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP, CANCEL, QUIT, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, REVOKE, or END to any message at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP or INFO for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for full program details.
